Meet the Teacher
Hi, my name is Andrew Waltz. After teaching in the public school system for nine years I saw a need for more individualized instruction, hands-on learning, more science, art, and music, and independent learning opportunities for children. I believe the public school system has done an injustice for our children by limiting their passions and focusing on worksheets and testing.
With two young boys, I wanted them to have the personalized attention and guidance from a highly trained professional while still getting to find their passions, engage with other kids, and explore learning in a way that was fun for them. I also wanted to provide families that same opportunity to give their children the best learning environment possible without the stress and pressure of homeschooling themselves. With the launch of Mini Monsters Learning, I’ve been able to create a business that provides small group (10:1) education to kids K-2nd grade through interactive, and engaging lessons and stations. We allow time for your child to have independent exploration time with our STEAM and Montessori based stations. We include games and activities that they can play with kids their own age. In addition, I will develop hands on, engaging lessons for the group to work on together that takes learning to a new level. I can’t wait to teach your child and learn more about what they care about.
